Casperson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC of Sister Bay was founded as Casperson Funeral Home by Edwin Casperson in 1921. For 100 years, Casperson Funeral Home has strived to provide personal and compassionate service to Door County families and all families in times of loss. Our funeral home offers a complete range of funeral, burial, cremation, and life tribute services along with pre-planning options for those desiring to pre-fund their final care. Our funeral home is proud to be family-owned and operated and a strong supporter of our Door County communities. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have, and we will offer the knowledge and experience that we have gained over our generations of service.
"After 47 years in funeral service and owning Casperson Funeral Home, the time has come for Debbie and I to retire. As the third generation of the Casperson family, it has been an honor and privilege to serve the wonderful people of Door County. We have welcomed and are so happy to have Todd & Renee, Erik, Brock, Amanda, and staff of Huehns Funeral Home (new owners of Casperson Funeral Home & Cremation Services) to continue serving you. They will serve our Northern Door County and Washington Island communities with dignity, integrity and respect.
The trust, confidence, and good will given to the Casperson family over the past 97 years of service will always have a place in our heart. Our deep appreciation to our staff over the years – Keyes Fletcher, Dick Kostka and Bob Pluff.
We are looking forward to retirement and spending more time with family and friends and will continue to make our home in the Sister Bay area.
"Our family joins the rest of the Door County community in thanking Greg and Debbie for their years of commitment to the funeral profession. It has been a pleasure serving the county along side them in our common calling. We wish Greg and Debbie a long and happy retirement and look forward to continuing the compassionate service provided by Casperson Funeral Home for over three generations.
Funeral service has been a part of the Huehns family for five generations, with our service of Door County beginning in 1992 at Davis Mortuary in Sturgeon Bay. Earlier this year, our family established Door County Crematory, the first crematory in Door County, and began providing on-site cremation care at our Sturgeon Bay facilities. This latest development with Casperson Funeral Home helps us bring our complete range of funeral and cremation services to the entire county.
Greg will continue to work at the funeral home on a part-time basis. We have moved our Sister Bay funeral home location slightly south to 2594 S. Bay Shore Drive, (at the corner of S. Bay Shore Drive and Forest Lane). Our MAILING ADDRESS is P.O. Box 6, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235. We welcome families to meet with us at either of our funeral home locations in Sister Bay or Sturgeon Bay or wherever is most convenient. More information about our funeral homes can be found on Facebook or at our websites, www.caspersonfuneralhome.com and www.huehnsfuneralhome.com.
We can be reached at any time by phone at (920) 854-4123.
Again, thank you Greg and Debbie, and congrats on a well-deserved retirement."
