Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Tarsitano

     Elizabeth “Betty” Jean Tarsitano, 88, of Baileys Harbor, WI, was called Home, Friday, November 9, 2018 while at Hearthside CBRF in Sister Bay, WI.

     She was born August 11, 1930 in Spaulding, NE, the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Hinze) Patterson. Betty earned her BSN at Creighton University in Omaha, NE and later received her PhD in Education. She taught at Loyola University Chicago before entering the home health service. On December 27, 1969, Betty was united in marriage to Robert Tarsitano at St. Pius Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. Following retirement, they moved to Door County, WI, full-time.

     Betty was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Parish in Baileys Harbor (now Stella Maris Parish-Baileys Harbor site).

     She will be missed by her beloved husband, Bob of Baileys Harbor; and her dear nieces and nephews.

     Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dorothy Patterson; and two brothers and sister, Richard and Edward Patterson, and Catherine Wehr.

     Her life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Stella Maris Parish-Baileys Harbor site with Fr. David Ruby as celebrant. Betty will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery in Omaha, NE.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held at Stella Maris Parish-Baileys Harbor site on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m.
