Anna May Sauer, 86 of Sister Bay, passed away peacefully Monday, August 24, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society-Scandia Village, Sister Bay.
She was born December 18, 1933 in Chicago to the late Tony and Mary (Walter) Mitroff. On July 13, 1957, Anna married Kenneth Paul Sauer at Bethel Lutheran Church in Chicago. He passed away September 12, 2002.
Anna and Ken initially owned Sauer’s Bake Shop in Wheeling, IL before opening Country Walk Bake Shop in 1974 through 1979 in Sister Bay.
Anna will be sadly missed by her children, Sue (Frank) Caba of Carpentersville, IL, Cindy (Simon Hollingsworth) Pence of San Diego, CA, Lynn (Kevin) Tso of San Jose, CA, and Paul (Debra) Sauer of Algonquin, IL; grandchildren, Laura and Rachel Sauer, Sean Tso and Kendall Tso; other family and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, and husband.
Burial will be at Little Sister Cemetery in Sister Bay on Thursday, August 27, 2020. Due to COVID, a memorial service may be planned at a later date.
