Darold Chester Linden, age 91 of the Town of Liberty Grove, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at his home.
Darold was born on August 31, 1932, to the late Chester and Helen (Hilander) Linden in Sister Bay. He graduated from Gibraltar High School in 1950. After high school, he was united in marriage to Eleanor Carlson. He worked for Lake-to-Lake Dairy in Sturgeon Bay and sailed the Great Lakes for Reiss Coal Company. He then moved to Illinois and worked for the Illinois Gas Company. Darold later returned to Wisconsin, buying and operating the Ding-A-Ling and Jac Lin Supper Club in Mercer.
Darold was as member and Past President of the Mercer Lions Club, Sno-Goers Snowmobile Club of Mercer, and President of the Tavern League of Iron County. Darold was baptized and confirmed at the Sister Bay Moravian Church. He also served as Sunday School Superintendent at one time.
Darold is survived by his daughter, Diane Linden, three siblings, Jean (Dick)Hautzinger, Kathy (Don) Ray, and June Olson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Paul Linden; and siblings, Helen Lewis, Betty Charles, and Gail and Robert Linden in infancy.

A memorial service for Darold is being planned for late spring.
