Eleanor G Anderson

Eleanor Genevieve Carlson Anderson was born at home in Sister Bay, WI in 1915. Her early years were spent on her parents farm on Beach Road. She attended Wildwood School from first grade to the 10th grade. After a few years she went to Chicago to find work. She worked as a housekeeper and caring for young children. She attended a church while there and met Eric Anderson. They were married on June 26, 1943 near St Joseph, Michigan. A year later John Robert was born. A year later they moved to Sister Bay and started building their home on Beach Road just down from her parents. In 1950 Linda Marie joined the family. When he children were older she started to clean houses for the summer people on Beach Road. After Eric's death in 1977 she enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. Her hobbies were sewing and crocheting. When the grandchildren came along she enjoyed making clothes for them.
She is a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Sister Bay Homemakers Club.
She is survived by daughter-in-law Linda Anderson, son-in-law Curt Kolterman, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, and a niece and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eric, two brothers Robert and Harold, daughter Linda in 2007 and son John in 2010.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Baptist Church in Ellison Bay, WI. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Service on Tuesday. Interment will be at Little Sister Cemetery.
