Eleanor “Joan” (Gabrielsen) Erickson

     Eleanor “Joan” Erickson (nee Gabrielsen), age 90, of Ellison Bay, was called Home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Serenity Spring at Scandia Village in Sister Bay.

     The daughter of Edna (Alatalo) and Eugene Callahan. She was born on February 24, 1934, in Kaleva, MI.

     Eleanor met Dale Erickson at a party at Peninsula State Park in Ephraim. The couple was united in marriage on December 27, 1952, in Oak Park, IL. Joan and Dale enjoyed wintering in Fort Meyers, FL. She loved her children and grandchildren.

     Joan is survived by her son, Clayton (Carla) Erickson of Green Bay; and her daughter, Dawn Muench of Fort Meyers, FL; five grandchildren, Leah (Danny) Bogen and Chad (Emilia) Erickson, Ericka Ramos, and Ava and Ernie Erickson; and three great-grandchildren, Calvin and Daiten and Adrianna.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Erickson; and four children, Debra Erickson, Curtis Erickson, Steven Erickson, and Clark Erickson.

     Private family services were held for Joan.
