George Kraemer II Obituary

George Philip Kraemer II, age 91, was called home on March 20, 2026.

George was born on January 30, 1935 in Milwaukee to George Kraemer and Amanda (Mueller)
Kraemer. George married Carole Lynne Zemlicka of Milwaukee on February 26, 1966 at North Shore
Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee. Carole and George met through the Milwaukee Yacht Club during
the Adams Cup activities.

George and Carole settled in Shorewood, Wisconsin and lived there until the 1990s when they
moved to Bayside, Wisconsin. George and Carole owned Kracor, Inc., during this time.

George and Carole loved skiing and shared their skills with many younger family members. At
summer family gatherings George and Carole hosted formal croquet tournaments complete with
officials they had hired to preside over the events. During the holidays they made certain to assure
the kids in the family got a visit from Santa.

One of their greatest passions was sailing. George and Carole kept a 36-foot sailboat in the
Bahamas for winter sailing and a 24-foot sailboat in Milwaukee for summer racing. In 1981, the 24-
foot sailboat was voted the Boat of the Year for the entire bay of Milwaukee. The 36-foot sailboat
was eventually moved to Door County, WI for George and Carole to enjoy. George’s cherished
mementos include many sailing trophies, photographs and records of their sailing adventures.

Door County has been summer home for 20 plus years, while the rest of the year was spent in
Florida. While in Door County they were also active in sailing, with George serving as Commodore
for the Ephraim Yacht Club and as an active member for many years. George and Carole were also
members of the Church of the Atonement. They leave behind many friends made in Door County.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carole Kraemer and his parents, George Kraemer,
Amanda Kraemer.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Expressions of
sympathy, memories, and photos of George may be shared with his family through his tribute page
at www.HuehnsFuneralHome.com. Services in honor of George will be held at a later date.
