Jan C. Johnson

Jan C. Johnson, 74 years of the Town of Gibraltar, passed away peacefully at his home on November 19, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was born September 24, 1951 in Fort Campbell, KY, the son of the late Curtis and Donna (Erickson) Johnson. Jan graduated from Gibraltar High School 1969. He worked for Carlson Erickson Builders as a mason and carpenter, and Champeau's Flooring as a flooring and tile installer.

He married Carla Lang on August 30, 2014 at Zion Methodist Church. Jan was a member of Zion Methodist Church and the Peninsula Gun Club.

Surviving family includes his wife, Carla Ann Lang; three children, Gina (James) Tesnow of Port Edwards, WI, Joey Johnson of St. Petersburg, FL, and Jeremia (Sarah) Johnson of Grafton; three grandchildren, Kori, Rylee, and Emma (Brayden) Alarie; sister, Suzan (Dennis) Krishka; brother, Jay (Barb) Carlson; niece, Tanya; and nephews, Justin, Daniel, and Michael.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Donna and John, and brother Terry Carlson.

A celebration of his life will be held at Peninsula Gun Club in Spring of 2026 with specific date and times to be announced.

Memorials may be directed in his memory to Jan Johnson Memorial Fund at 3702 Juddville Road, Fish Creek WI 54212; or Zion United Methodist Church.
