Joanne Nancy Delaney

     Joanne Nancy Delaney, 87, of Baileys Harbor, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

     She was born November 27, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter and only child born to Paul and Caroline (Eggers) Miller. After graduating from high school, she continued her education and obtained her teaching degree. Joanne taught Kindergarten at Chase Elementary for many years until her retirement in 1994. In August of 1965, she and Thomas Michael Delaney were united in marriage. Upon their retirement, they moved to Las Vegas. After Tom’s passing in 2002, Joanne moved to Door County to enjoy a good, retired life. She loved living in Door County, playing bridge, and watching birds.

     Joanne will be missed by her son, Paul Delaney of Baileys Harbor; brother-in-law, Bob (Delores) Delaney of Ely, Minnesota; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Caroline Eggers; loving husband of 36 years, Tom Delaney; two brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.

     In honor of Joanne’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
