Judith C. Ahrens, 84, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Meadow View Memory Care.
She was born May 1,1939 in Sturgeon Bay, WI, daughter of the late William and Ella Ahrens. Judy completed her education at Silver Lake College and eventually became CFO of Aurora Health Care, Janesville, WI. Judy married Larry Brauer and the marriage blessed them with three children. Later, she married Ron Kolwitz and together, they spent 20 years together before he preceded her in death. Judy enjoyed golfing, ballroom dancing and traveling.
Judy will be missed by her three children, Darrel Brauer, Darlene Packard and Donna Syverson; four grandchildren, Carolyn Gilley, Kevin Packard Jr., Joseph Packard, Emily Fager, and ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Meyer and Ellen Kiehnau; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ella Ahrens; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Gilley and Ayla Fager; siblings, Lucille Williams and Myrtle Stewart.
Judy’s life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at Stella Maris Catholic Parish - Baileys Harbor site. She will be laid to rest in Baileys Harbor Town Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday at the church from 10:00 am until 10:50 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Association.
