Lauren E. Lent (nee Johnson), age 75 of Ellison Bay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Sturgeon Bay.

     Lauren was born on September 17, 1948, in Elkhorn, WI to the late Russell and Emelie Johnson.

     She grew up in rural Walworth County graduating from Big Foot High School class of 1966. Later, a fateful karate class led her to meet the love of her life. She and Craig married November 6, 1982, in Lake Geneva, WI before moving to Door County. Together they owned and operated Edge of Park Rentals in Fish Creek, WI for over 30 years. While raising three children, Lauren spent free time quilting, a challenging hobby she excelled at. Throughout her life she enjoyed nature, especially flowers and birds. She was a lifelong learner and loved reading. Her strong will and kind heart will be remembered.

     Lauren is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, R. Craig Lent; her three children, Josiah (Angie) Lent of Madison, Bethany Lent of Sister Bay and Isaac (Kaitlyn) Lent of Appleton; and granddaughter expected December 2023; siblings, David (Judy) Johnson of Walworth, and Valerie (Chuck) Riegert of Delavan; nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved dog Caasi.

     She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother Manford.

     A funeral service will be held for Lauren on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Baileys Harbor with Rev. Gary Scharrig officiating. Burial will be in Blossomberg Cemetery in Fish Creek. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to DOOR CANcer, Inc., P.O.
