Mary Ann Boyer, 83 years of Sister Bay, passed away Tuesday March 14, 2023 at Scandia Village in Sister Bay.
She was born June 8, 1939 in Akron, Iowa the daughter of the late Harold and Ora (Talbott) Bringman. Following her graduation from Akron High School, Mary received her B.S. degree in Nutrition from South Dakota State University. Mary married Gaile Boyd Boyer whom she met at college.
Mary worked with Fairview Medical-Ridgeview Clinic in Burnsville, MN until her early retirement and then she and her partner William Jordan moved to the cottage in Sevastopol, Door County for their retirement in 1993. He preceded her in death along with her two beloved dogs, Chief and Penny.
Later on, Mary and companion, Rollie Honold enjoyed times together with lots of family and friends.
She loved boating, hiking, bird watching and journaling. Mary was a polite, independent, fun-loving woman who enjoyed good times spent with family and her friends.
Surviving family include her daughter, Sara (Steve) Sohns of Fish Creek, and their daughter, Gwendolyn; son, Michael (Jody) Boyer of Richfield, MN, and their four children, Alexzandra, Jesse, Sonia, Peter; siblings, Walter (Anita) Bringman of Michigan, Paul (Kathryn) Bringman of New Mexico, David (Chung) Bringman of Iowa, Ruth (David) Moses of Maryland; and sister-in-law, Jerry Bringman of Iowa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Harold and Ora Bringman, and brother, Phillip Bringman.
Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
