Robert Charles Buchner, 47, of Baileys Harbor, died at home on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
He was born May 13, 1973 and was raised by Alfred Charles and Sharon Valerie (Bell) Buchner. After graduating from Reedsville High School with the Class of 1991, Rob enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard serving his country from 1993 until his honorable discharge in 2001.
Rob was a storyteller and knew how to turn a story into a woven tapestry of suspense. His love for spinning a tale and sharing a shot of Jameson with others brought people closer together, laugh, smile, relax and give their worries and cares to the universe. His favorite places to bring people together were through his places of work, the Coyote Roadhouse, and the Blue Ox and of course his beloved AC Tap. Being an ever-passionate lover of music, he brought people together by deejaying at nightclubs, cutting a rug at dance clubs or gathering groups to attend music concerts. He had many passions in life. An eclectic book and art collection, a growing interest in fishing, listening to a wide array of podcasts and an innate ability of late to create beautiful, lush flower gardens.
Rob will be missed and remembered by his love Lynne Buchner. On a fateful day in their early twenties, their paths crossed and for 25 years they danced their way across the states and were blessed with the births of Reaghan Elizabeth and Kinsley Rose. His love for his children knew no price. The water hose fights, the shoots between the legs and the Superbabies will be greatly missed by his daughters.
Others Rob will be remembered by are his parents, Alfred and Sharon Buchner; siblings, Mike (Laurie) Buchner, Carl (Michelle) Buchner, Danny Buchner, Jill (Scott) Keil; siblings-in-law, James (Laurie) Stahl, Ken Stahl, Barbara Wesolowski, and Ray Streckert; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Ervin and Lois Stahl; sister, Cheryl Streckert and sister-in-law, Sandra Riley.
A funeral service to honor Rob’s life will be held at HUEHNS Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan St., Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Billington of First Baptist Church in Sister Bay officiating. Rob will be laid to rest at Blossomberg Cemetery in Fish Creek.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. For those unable to attend, the funeral service will be live streamed via Facebook through the “Casperson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC” page.
At the end of the day, Rob would want everyone to know the greatest thing you’ll ever learn is to love and be loved in return.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established at Northshore Bank.
Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Rob may be shared with his family through his tribute page at www.caspersonfuneralhome.com.
