Roger Gilbert Anderson, 83, of the Town of Egg Harbor, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Door County Medical Center.
He was born June 27, 1936 at home in Sister Bay, son of the late Milton Matthew and Edna Beatrice Anderson. After graduating from Gibraltar High School in 1954, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Roger proudly served his country for two until his honorable discharge in 1958. He then started working at Pempertin Painting before opening Anderson Painting, where he owned and operated the business until his retirement in 2015. Roger was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Juddville and enjoyed collecting antiques.
Roger is survived by his siblings, Beverly (Dean) Schauske-Johnson, Robert (Betty) Anderson, and Carrol Flaum; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald Milton Anderson and Paul Stanley Anderson.
Roger’s life will be honored with a memorial service on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Juddville.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
