Susan Tandy Olson

     Susan Tandy Olson, 74, of Los Angeles, California and Door County, Wisconsin, passed away on March 16, 2023. She was born June 12, 1948 in Lynwood, California to Ervin and Marjory Tandy.

     Susan graduated with honors from San Fernando High School in 1966, received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from California State University Northridge and her law degree (juris doctor) from UCLA in 1983. For 30 years she practiced law at two California law firms specializing in civil, business and insurance litigation.

     Although Susan lived in California most of her life, she loved summers with John, her husband, at their home on Europe Lake in Door County since 2008. They shared every summer enjoying this special home and adventures with her many friends and family. It was a time of great joy for her.

     In addition to her law practice, Susan enjoyed many activities included, but not limited to, photography, ham radio operator, avid reader, cook, naturalist, local activist and trips to Disneyland and being an officer of the Europe Lake Landowners association (ELLA). She was most passionate about her trips to Africa, her cats and time spent with John and her extended family.

     Susan is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John P. Olson; her sister, Karen Pelle; sisters and brothers-in-laws; Ted Olson, (Lady) Claudia Alt, Kirstin Cravens (Dee) and Joan Hushahn (Max),  Rajeanna Tandy; and many beloved nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and many friends.

     A memorial will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, Ellison Bay. There will be a time of fellowship following the service.
