Thomas Carl Nickols, a proud veteran, passed peacefully with family on August 25, 2025, at the age of 77.
Thomas was born in Janesville, WI November 5, 1947, the son of the late Sgt. Carl Nick and Second Lt. Jeanette Helen (Thiele) Nickols.
His wife, Marcia; children, Josh (Sara), and Sara; and grandkids, Smith and Elliot, will always remember a man that fiercely loved his family. He was known for his big heart where he literally would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He will be known for his honesty and integrity when it came to how he treated people, especially in his long career at Sears, in heating contracting sales where he was able to meet so many incredible people that became lifelong friends. He was a die-hard Packer and Badger fan, along with being a man that cherished our connection to the land, water and creatures that shares our world. He was the guy with an amazing mustache that ended conversations with "Peace and have a righteous day!"
A memorial will be held at a later date for family and friends to come together and share memories.
All donations will go towards Luke House, Inc., a community meal program located in Madison, WI (www.lukehousemadison.org/donate-online).
Casperson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Sister Bay is assisting with arrangements. Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Thomas may be shared through his tribute page at www.CaspersonFuneralHome.com.
