William “Bill” Jerome Koessl, 58, of Ellison Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 12, 2026 at his residence after an apparent heart attack.
He was born May 2, 1967, in Algoma, the son of Jerome and Patricia (Witalison) Koessl. Bill attended Gibraltar High School and graduated with the class of 1985.
On September 22, 1990, he married Sheila Voight and lived in Ellison Bay.
Bill worked as a truck driver for several local businesses, most recently, Septic Maintenance.
He was a member of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church. Bill had a great interest in tractors, especially Oliver tractors, and the history of Oar Boats.
Bill will be missed by his wife, Sheila; son, John Koessl; daughter, Casey (Brandon) Honold; four grandchildren, Mason, Nora, Toby, and Alvena; siblings-in-law, Larry Voight, Lyle Voight, Leon (Lynne) Voight, and Cheryl (Jeff) Muhowski; and his dog, Maggie Mae.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Edward Koessl.
Bill's life will be honored with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, 11836 Highway 42, Ellison Bay, WI. Visitation for family and friends will be at the church from 10:00 until the time of service.
